I'm a mess, but that's ok. I write, I laugh, I make mistakes, I also role lots of dice. I'm the definition of eccentric, so this is your warning.

Bruins Fans Unleash Racist Tweets After Caps’ Joel Ward Wins OT Thriller [Click Photo for Link]
For all of you who think we live in a ‘post-racial’ USA.  Also for all of you who like to think racism only exists in the South. And for those of you who think racism no longer exists in sports.
This is absolutely disgraceful.  It’s been 65 years since Jackie Robinson began playing for the Dodgers and we still see black players dealing with this sort of nonsense.

I saw some of this rubbish in a post on Reddit last night (it wasn’t the redditors themselves, they were just commenting on the douchiness of others). I didn’t think rednecks watched hockey. I figured they’d think it was un-American, and go back to Football and Baseball, but I was astounded at how many people were so angry that Boston lost (there was at least one comment saying Tim Thomas was washed up and shouldn’t show his face in Boston again), and that the game winner was scored by a black guy.
1) Tim Thomas is not washed up. He and the rest of the Bruins are a damn good team. They had a quality chance to end it before we did, and it went of the side of the goal. They could have very easily been moving on instead of the Caps. Nobody should give them anything but the utmost respect.
2) Really America? I thought we’d moved past racism. Its been almost half a century since the Civil Rights Act, and we’re still pulling this bull shit?
Props to Wardo for his game winner. I’ve believed in his skill ever since he joined the team, and its nice to see him get some validation.
Also a big thank you to the entire Bruins organization for hands down the most intense, nail-biting, edge-of-my-seat playoff series in the history of the Stanley Cup. You guys are a fantastic team, and you’ve given us the best 2 weeks of hockey I could have asked for.
Thank you, and good bye.

Thank you Parrottrek for summing up all the thoughts running around my head.
